Small wooden cards, about the size of a coaster, with an NFC chip inside. Tap one with your phone and it opens a link. Usually music. Sometimes a video, a web page, or anything else. No app, no account, no download.
Mixtape Goodz are ready-made cards you load with any playlist link. One-off gifts, personal mixtapes, that kind of thing. Custom Goodz are printed with your own artwork, ordered in runs of 50 or more, and made for artists, labels, and events who want something to sell or hand out.
Yes. Works on iPhone 7 and later (hold the top of the phone near the card) and virtually all Android phones made after 2015 (hold the back). The NFC hardware is already in the phone, so there's nothing to download.
Depends which one. Mixtape Goodz can be re-pointed anytime: simply change the destination URL and every tap goes to the new link. Custom Goodz work differently: the artist or brand who placed the order can update the link across the entire run, but individual fans can't redirect the card they're holding. Either way, if the link points to a playlist you control, updating that playlist updates what anyone tapping the card hears.
